Candy glaze axle shaped water finger
Ameyu Shajiku-gata Mizusashi
The round seat-like tatami mat is finished with an acutely angled axle shape. The technique is similar to that used to make the rim of a tea caddy, creating a sense of tension. The body is joined in two places. The entire piece is covered in candy glaze.
The finishing is an axle shape, sharply rising from a circular mat-like base. The mouth resembles the technique used in tea containers, adding tension to the design. There are two joint seams on the body, and the entire piece is covered in amber glaze.
