Shisoyu Chawan

Shisode is a type of kiln variation produced by firing an iron glaze at a low temperature. The clay used is generally coarse red clay, and the bowl has a tapered mouth, making it an ancient work. The bowl has a high base, a high waist, and is beautifully proportioned.

Shiso-te is a type of kiln change resulting from low-fired iron glaze. The clay is typically coarse red clay, and the tea bowl features a narrow mouth, typical of ancient works. The bowl has a high foot, balanced and aesthetically pleasing.
