Ash glaze-cut high-footed salt bowl

Haiyū-kiri-kōdai-shioge-chawan

Based on the shape of a salt pot, the three high cut-off bases and curved edges of the mouth enhance its appeal as tea ceremony ware. The ash glaze creates beautiful yellow crystals due to kiln changes.

The high-cut foot ring and the outward flaring mouth, based on the shape of a salt jar, enhance the charm of this tea ware. The entire piece is covered in ash glaze, with yellow crystals formed by kiln change.
